Recent clinical research has also linked phytosterols to other positive benefits, including blood sugar regulation, reduction in enlarged prostate glands andanti-inflammatory effects in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Between 1966 and the present, over 5,000 research papers have been published demonstrating the positive effects of beta-sitosterol.
